Record last week: (1-1)
Missouri 74, LSU 67 OT
LSU 87, Georgia 84 2OT

Streak: Win 1

Top performer: In one of the easiest decisions of the year, Tim Quarterman was the top performer of the week. He scored 46 points, pulled down 11 rebounds, and dished out 7 assists on the week. With Martin and Gray fouled out of the Georgia game, he put the team on his back and almost singlehandedly beat the Bulldogs.

Cause for Concern: Jarell Martin was only 5 of 16 from two point range, 1 of 4 from three point range, and 3 of 7 from the free throw line. He was held to two straight single digit scoring outputs for the first time in over a year.

Top Team Stat of Week: LSU had 24 steals in their two games this week while their opponents only had 14 steals on the Tigers. They used some press as well as hard on ball defense to force turnovers all week.

Rankings and Standings: CBS RPI (46), ESPN RPI (42), BPI (47), KenPom (60), playoffstatus.com tournament chances (73%)

Breaking the trend: LSU's loss to Missouri broke an 8 game win streak. It also broke LSU's perfect 2-0 record in true road games and was LSU's first loss in the continental United States.

Best game by a non Big5 player: Jalyn Patterson is trying to force this category into a non Big6 category. Against Georgia, he scored 15 points and hit 3 of 6 from three point range. He also had 2 rebounds and a 3:0 AST:TO ratio. Add a block and two steals to round out a very impressive performance.

LSU Opponent who made noise: Sam Houston St has reeled off 6 straight victories since losing to LSU. They beat Northwestern St by 11 and New Orleans by 6 on the road last week and are now 3-0 in the Southland Conference and 100th in KenPom's Computer Ratings.

Interesting Stat of the Week: LSU has had a scoreless streak of over 5 minutes in only three games this year, Old Dominion, Clemson, and Missouri; each of LSU's losses.

Most Dominant SEC Win of the Week Florida took an early double digit lead on Mississippi St and never let it get close. The Gators won 72-47 and never trailed in the game.

Biggest SEC Upset of the Week LSU went into Missouri the favorite, but the Missouri Tigers showed everyone how tough it can be to win on the road in conference play as they beat the LSU Tigers 74-67 in overtime.

Recruiting News: LSU picks up big time transfer prospect Craig Victor from Arizona. The New Orleans native will transfer immediately and be available to play in January of next season. The 6'9" 230 pound PF struggled to find playing time at Arizona, but should be the perfect fit to what looks to be one of the best recruiting classes in LSU history.
