It was announced by the school on Monday that LSU Basketball assistant coach Al Pinkins is leaving the staff to pursue another coaching opportunity. Per LSUSports.net:

Pinkins, a native of Camilla, Georgia, joined the Tiger program prior to the 2015-16 season, after coaching in the SEC for one year at Tennessee and three seasons at Ole Miss.

“We appreciate all of Coach Pinkins contributions to our program last season,” said Coach Jones. “We wish him and his family all the best.”

I never heard of this guy and I think they are going to try for a top Assistant from somewhere. You know all the crap Jones gets he has a better Record than Dale Brown at this point. If Dale Brown was here at this point in his career he would be catching crap also because it took him like 6 years to get something going. Then after his 3 good years Bob Broadhead was ready to fire him.

Yep. We fall one game short of the tournament and everybody wants him fired. I hope he shuts everyone up next season
