LSU announced Monday afternoon that senior center Elbert Robinson III will step away from the team because of medical reasons but will remain in school at LSU. Per LSUSports.net:
quote:

Robinson, who is on pace to graduate in 2018, will step away from active competition because of medical reasons.

“I have really enjoyed getting to know Elbert and he has worked extremely hard in our offseason program since our arrival,” said Coach Wade. “The LSU Athletics Department and our basketball program will continue to support Elbert and to make sure that we help him reach his ultimate goal of graduating next year with a degree from LSU.”

so the downvoter doesn't like Will Wade? The guy is no-nonsense and has done nothing but kick arse since he got here. Get rid of the dead weight (while acknowledging their effort) and try to build a championship-level program. Downvote away, pansy.

Good luck to him. It never worked out as well as everyone hoped when he chose LSU, but he's still a Tiger. Thank you ERIII!

Very well said. He put forth great effort. It just sadly hasn't worked out. God bless Elbert.
