After LSU's win over Sam Houston State on Tuesday night, head coach Will Wade said that recent graduate transfer Jeremy Combs has likely played his last college game as he continues to have issues with an ankle injury. Per The Advocate:

Wade said following Tuesday night’s 80-58 victory over Sam Houston State that Combs, a rugged 6-foot-7 forward who played three seasons at North Texas for current LSU assistant Tony Benford, likely has played his last college game.

“His ankle is so messed up, he can’t even practice,” Wade said Wednesday morning. “It’s gotten to the point where we feel like we have to shut him down for his well-being moving forward.

“This is bigger than just basketball,” he added. “We don’t want somebody who won’t be able to move around very well when he’s 30 years old. That’s not right, so it’s kind of gotten to this point.”

Time can heal a lot of injuries. I don't know the extent of his injuries though. But, I don't know who JimboFisherAM is, but regardless how banged up his ankle is, even if it's ligament damage or broke bones, it doesn't come close to compare with cancer. "That's like suggesting a band aid can cure cancer," is one of the most ignorant statements I've ever heard.
