Former LSU pitcher Jaden Noot has signed with the San Diego State Baseball program, the school announced this week.

Noot finished his LSU career with a 5.23 ERA over 43 innings across three seasons. As a redshirt sophomore, he provided valuable innings during the Tigers' SEC and NCAA Tournament runs, including a scoreless relief appearance against Arkansas at the College World Series.

Jaden Noot entered the 2026 season expected to build on a strong finish to 2025, when he became a trusted bullpen arm during LSU's postseason run. Instead, he struggled to find consistency and saw his role diminish as the season progressed.

In 2026, Noot appeared in 10 games, posting a 0-0 record with a 6.75 ERA over 9 innings. He allowed 11 hits, seven earned runs, seven walks, and struck out eight batters, while opponents hit well against him.

If it was between Iowa. Or Kansas. Or Indiana. Yeah, I’d go to San Diego state. About as low pressure as it gets.

Good fit for Noot. Maybe he can excel at that level. He just wasn’t SEC caliber
