Jay Johnson Voices His Frustrations After Game 1 Loss To Texas A&M

Been a rough year. LSU will be back. Jay is an excellent coach.

This has no awareness in the batter box. This first time I have ever seen a Tiger Baseball team so passive in the batter box. Every opponent pitcher we have come up against realize the Tigers batters will not swing at the first pitch and throw a strike. They are always behind in the count. Batters do not play to their strengths and try to force pitches opposite field instead of going with the pitch. Basically, things they should be working on in batting practice they use games to practice. They are stepping up in the Batter box for photo shots. Plus this team has no heart.

This team is simply terrible. All the small things are done wrong. And they celebrate after homers like they are the best team around. Truly, they should be embarrassed and get some quiet riot in them. Maybe next year. They gone

Jay will never throw his players under the bus but he's telling right here - this roster is not that talented. Yes, it's partly on his shoulders but they whiffed not just in every portal evaluation but their current guys too.
