LSU Baseball coach Paul Mainieri received a commitment on Monday night from right-handed pitcher Matthew Beck from Alexandria, LA (Alexander Senior).

Beck is a dual-sport athlete that also plays Football but will focus solely on the Baseball diamond when he arrives at LSU. Per NOLA.com:

The 6-6, 210-pound prospect stars for both the Alexandria football and baseball teams, as a quarterback and pitcher. He has been clocked with a fastball in the low 90's, and was drawing Division I interest from programs for his play on the gridiron.
