College Baseball Insider Kendall Rogers is reporting that Freshman All-American Derek Curiel is moving to center field for the 2026 season, and Chris Stanfield will shift over to left field.

I think Stanfield will do much better in left. Not that he was bad in center. Allowing Derek to be the Alpha is going to be much better.

This was probably agreed upon between CJJ and Curiel’s parents back when he signed with LSU that he will take over the CF position starting from the second year.
