Report: Clemson Expects To Add LSU Transfer Grayson Byrd

Former LSU infielder Grayson Byrd is expected to transfer to Clemson, according to a report from TheClemsonInsider.com.
quote:Byrd is from King’s Ridge High School in Milton, Ga and left LSU after his freshman season.
As a freshman at LSU, Byrd hit .212 (7-for-33) with nine RBI in 24 games (five starts) as the backup to Alex Bregman, the No. 2 overall pick earlier this summer in the MLB Draft.
Byrd (6-3, 180) is expected to enroll at Clemson in January. Because of NCAA transfer rules, he won’t be eligible to play for the Tigers until 2017.
