BATON ROUGE, La. – LSU will play host to the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional in Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field beginning at 3 p.m. CT Friday when the No. 1 seed Tigers meet No. 4 seed Lehigh. No. 2 seed UNC-Wilmington will face No. 3 seed Tulane at 7 p.m. CT Friday in the second game of the four-team regional.

It's annoying, but:

A) In the end it really doesn't matter.
B) The kids can use it as a slap in the face/fuel for the tournament.

Makes no sense at all that LSU is not the overall #1. LSU loses 1 game in semi finals to a ranked Florida team and UCLA loses 2 out of 3 to an unranked Oregon team.
