The No. 1-ranked LSU Tigers (53-10) will face TCU (49-13) on Sunday at 2pm in the opening round of the College World Series in Omaha, NE. The game will be televised on ESPN.

TCU received their invitation to the CWS by defeating Texas A&M 5-4, in 16 innings on Monday night.

LSU and TCU are paired with Cal St. Fullerton (39-23) and Vanderbilt (47-19) who play Sunday night at 7pm on ESPN. The winner and losers from each game will play each other on Tuesday.

The LSU baseball team will depart Baton Rouge on Thursday at 11am CT for Omaha and will hold an open practice at TD Ameritrade Park on Friday from 1-2pm CT.

Lange always gets a full week of rest between starts. I wouldn't expect him to throw game 3 on short rest in that scenario.

So win three games in a row and you make it to the big one...

Lange can pitch first game and 3rd game with enough rest and still be able to pitch game 2 or 3 of the championship series... But who knows if thats the best way to handle it. Ill trust PM
