Per LSUSports.net: Baylor shortstop Jack Pineda hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth to give the Bears a lead the Tigers were unable to close during the final game of the Shriner’s Hospital College Classic inside Minute Maid Park Sunday night.

Baylor extended their lead in the sixth after first baseman Chase Wehsener and third baseman Esteban Cardoza-Oquendo reached base with a pair of singles. Following a run-scoring fielder’s choice, Pineda recorded a round-tripper to push the score to 7-5. The Bears added to their score in the bottom of the 8th with two more runs.
