Auburn's search for a new head coach officially began on Sunday after the firing of Hugh Freeze.

Freeze was in his third year with the Tigers and was just 4-5 overall and 1-5 in SEC play this season. His overall record at Auburn was 15-19 (6-16 SEC).

The next Auburn head football coach will be the Tigers’ fourth in seven years. Here's a list of potential candidates for the job, according to ESPN:

Tulane coach Jon Sumrall
Georgia Tech coach Brent Key
Missouri coach Eliah Drinkwitz
Vanderbilt coach Clark Lea
Georgia defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann

Key and Lea aren’t leaving their alma maters unless there’s a lot more cash. Schumann is a Bama grad. Sumrall probably wants the Kentucky job. Drink has a better program at Mizzou.

They’re all dumpster fires, that’s why they’re vacant

No one is coming near that dumpster fire

Going to be either Jimbo or Clark Lea since they have each beaten alabama one time in their careers.

Breaking... ESPN will select Auburn's next loser.

ESPN pretty much hyped Napier right into the Florida job.

With the new 9 game SEC scheduling, Brent Key would be a total fool to jump to a conference where it will now be even harder to make the playoffs.
