The life of a RB is short, and if he's not optimistic that the team he's coming back to is good enough to help his draft stock, can't blame him at all for going.

I'm surprised. I thought Peyton was a good solid #2 back in college but in no way did I think he has NFL talent. Hope it works out for him. Great kid.

Ole miss recruited him and he flipped to auburn close to signing day so I've followed him a little while.

When first reading this I thought, that's dumb he's only a redshirt sophomore.

But it's actually a great move. Next year job on Robinson will be back and he would have to split carries. Next years draft will have many more running backs of higher potential than him. This year not as many.

And he will avoid being run down in college, running backs have a limited time frame.

Even if he doesn't get drafted, he could be a free agent, practice squad guy and make some money while he's young.

Smart decision, best of Luck to him.
