Five-star quarterback Deuce Knight from Lucedale, Miss., flipped his commitment from Notre Dame to Auburn on Wednesday night.

Knight, a 6-5, 210-pound prospect from George County High School, had been committed to the Irish since September 2023.

He is rated the No. 5 quarterback in the country and the No. 2 player out of Mississippi for the 2025 class, according to the the 247Sports Composite ranking.

Knight is Auburn's 25 commitment for the class of 2025, which ranks No. 3 nationally.

I'm just curious why any elite recruit would be attracted to a program coming off back-to-back losing seasons and a head coach who's never won any form of championship. This is really weird
