"Bediako's attorney David Holt said if Bediako loses the injunction, he "may never have the opportunity to compete again" and would also lose the chance to complete his degree because the cost of remaining in school without a scholarship would be "prohibitive."

So all of those students who not playing a sport will never make it because it would be "prohibitive"?

Well, maybe technically, but they don't really matter since they don't bring in revenue. It's all very nuanced, with many subtleties and complexities.

He can get a job, student loans, and do like everyone else not on scholarship who isn’t rich. He can even get a degree online, and go to school part time.

Finishing his degree is very important, that’s why he decided to leave school without one two years ago

I liked the part about him trying to play so he could afford to finish his degree. Uh huh…..

Imagine being 23 years old or whatever and the size of that dude and you can't play basketball somewhere to earn a living if that's what you want to do. What a loser and a waste and I'm glad the judge basically laughed the guy out of the courtroom for suggesting academics had anything to do with it.
