Paul Finebaum Thinks Alabama Could Beat The Cleveland Browns
Shanna Lockwood-USA TODAY Sports
On Monday's noon edition of SportsCenter, SEC Network radio host Paul Finebaum said he thinks Alabama could beat the 0-6 Cleveland Browns after former LSU DE Marcus Spears called the Crimson Tide a semi-pro team...
quote:

“How could you call [Alabama] a semi-pro team?” Finebaum asked. “They could beat the Cleveland Browns right now, which a lot of schools could."
What do you think?

No college team can beat any NFL team. Just stop.

How this guy is employed amazes me. It sounds like something my wife or a 10 year old fan boy would say.

This debate comes up every year. Could the best college team beat the worst nfl team? Alabama is a great team and in my mind clearly the best team in college football this year, but they have probably 10 or 11 guys that will be NFL starters. The Cleveland Browns have Nfl starters at EVERY position by definition. Score wouldn't be close. Ridiculous argument.

Every year this is stated. Best team in college could beat worse team in the NFL. FACT IS that would NEVER happen. Every bad or poor team in the NFL would beat the best teams in college football.

I guarantee you he doesn't actually think this.

I think *EVERYTIME* this nonsense is said about any school in the last 30 years, said school goes on to lose in that year. Please, as a Bama fan, stop the insanity.

From 1934 through 1976, a preseason match called the Chicago Charities College All-Star Game was always played between the previous season's NFL champion and a team of the previous season's star college seniors. Forty-two of these games were played, and the college all-star teams won 9 of them, lost 31 of them, and tied 2 of them.

There's no doubt about Alabama would put a beat down on the Browns.
