Recently fired Alabama co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach Colin Hitschlerhas is expected to be hired as James Madison's new defensive coordinator.

Hitschler has served as co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach for three different schools over the past three seasons at Alabama (2024), Wisconsin (2023), and Cincinnati (2022).

Alabama's Kane Wommack will take over defensive coordinator duties for the Crimson Tide in 2025.
