Alabama linebacker Jah-Marien Latham suffered a neck injury in practice on Tuesday and was sent to UAB St. Vincent's Hospital to be treated.

Crimson Tide coach Kalen DeBoer said that Latham has "feeling and motion" during the SEC Coaches Teleconference on Wednesday:

On Wednesday, DeBoer said more will be known in the next 48 hours.

"Most importantly, he's got motion, feeling," the coach said during the SEC teleconference. "Just texted with him this morning. He told me to tell the guys he's doing well. More tests, more things we got to evaluate. That's the latest on him."

Latham, a sixth-year senior from Reform, Alabama, started the Tide's opener at Florida State on Sept. 30. Latham had two tackles before leaving because of a lower-body injury in the Seminoles' 31-17 victory. He didn't play in Alabama's victories over UL Monroe and Wisconsin.
