Yeah I am pretty stoked on it. Some active patterns should start there Friday giving us some time to get a couple backcountry days in around Squamish on the way to Whistler. Looks like it is about to go down in Colorado setting tomorrow up to be an epic day

I'm off at 1 then two days off. Going to Vail to watch the Bama game and hopefully celebrate with skiing deep pow in the morning.

Ready to ski something besides Steamboat. It's been awesome learning the mountain so far, but I need to shred some new terrain.

If we get the snow we're supposed to tonight, I'll be getting sendy as frick tomorrow off some cliffs and rocks. Blue Sky Basin is calling me to huck it real good.

I miss A Bay and Vail from the last few years doing the Epic Pass

Hoping for a Bama loss tonight and good snow at Vail for you tomorrow to help ease the pain

You probably already know this but the original Moes BBQ started in Vail and is run by some big Alabama fans. I would imagine that would be a fun place for you to watch tonight. I make it a point to wear something Auburn every time I go to that location just to get a reaction from the guys and it's a good convo starter. Only time they never said anything was in December of 2010...can't imagine why, haha.

Heading there to watch the game with some friends from Bama tonight.

Vail Valley is a huge Bama hub. Run into alum there all the time.

I've given quite a few Roll Tides to Auburn fans around Steamboat lately. Lotta locals wearing Auburn gear.

As sad as it is that felt almost like an LSU win to me

What a fricking game! Shake it off, don't drink too much tonight to hamper the pow day tomorrow, and shred hard tomorrow

College football is so different living in Colorado. I watch the games and then they exit my mind. That game got my blood going. But I'm going to bed and gonna try and catch first bus into Vail tomorrow.

Got two days off and a storm coming in. A Bama loss is healed very quickly come tomorrow morning.

5 years ago when I was still living in Louisiana I couldn't sleep after 21-0. I was like for real distraught. Now a days I catch maybe 2-3 games a year and can shake a loss off in real time

It's nice. When I'm into a game, it's still just as intense as before. But I couldn't tell ya anything about our recruiting, stats, schedule next year, etc. Plus 80% of Bama games are boring as frick. This game was awesome to watch. Keeps me wanting that undefeated championship season again.

I'm sure you'll see some snaps tomorrow. Going solo early, and then meeting up with some peeps, so should be a solid day.

Vail Pass closed because of avalanche on I70 near Copper.

On the bus to Vail Village. Should make first chair.

McDonald's breakfast was almost double what I pay for the same order in Steamboat. Vail so fancy.

I was told to take Chair 6 to 11 and ski the lift line under 11 first thing. Gonna make it out to Blue Sky shortly there after. I'm out of my element in Vail. There's so much to ski.

You can do that, but if theres fresh powder I'd just head to the backside sun up lift 9, ski down some of the bowls by teacup and you can head to blue sky from there. Orient express will likely have a lot of fresh powder on the siberia/mongolia bowl side as well

Eta; if they're doing avalanche blasting blue sky may not be open yet. Head over to orient express, go right off the lift and look for shangri-la

Ski'd Shangri La Glades a lot last year. Blue Sky won't open for awhile. Avalanche activity is off the charts right now.

Shangri-La trees are real fun. That's where I always hang out waiting for Blue Sky to open. They catch great snow with a westerley flow.

There's also a great rock outcrop (not the Dragon's Teeth cliff/outcrop band on the west side of the bowl) in China Bowl directly below Two Elks Lodge that's awesome to send it off of on a powder day. It's just a big isolated flat top rock dead center of the bowl, you can't miss it.

Enjoy.

Another Avy just shut down 70 between Gtown and Silverthorne. If i had to take a guess, it's the slope just east of Loveland on the north side of 70 that has a huge berm below it to help try and protect the interstate.
