re: Travel Vouchers and mileage runs - UA from IAH - CuseTiger
2. How do I go about searching for valuable runs where I can stipulate all United (or airlines that allow me to get PQMs for UA) aircraft; and departing from IAH?
If you can wait until Thursday or Friday I can take a look for you then. I've gone on a few runs out of BTR/MSY this year...

re: This is how summer weather should be. - CuseTiger
I seriously thought you were talking about the weather the northeast had this weekend. It's been about 82, no humidity, and in the low 60s at night. Quite refreshing from 95 and hot as balls in BR. I understand why the old people do the migration to florida for the winter and up north for the summer...

re: LSU Baseball Incoming Freshman Jake Slaughter Summer Ball Video/ Story - CuseTiger
His name is Mickey Slaughter. Jake's dad is Michael Slaughter who played for Tech in late 80's.
Sounds like a great family history. Also seems that Jake wants to get away from Tech if everyone from his family is a Tech grad . I really wish I could have chatted with Michael for l...

LSU Baseball Incoming Freshman Jake Slaughter Summer Ball Video/ Story - CuseTiger
I'm up in Maryland on business and a guy walks in the elevator this morning and says geaux tigers as soon as he gets on (sees my LSU shirt and hat). Tells me his son is going to be a freshman at LSU, I ask the last name and he says Slaughter. Found out Jake's up here playing summer ball in the Cal R...

re: Long weekend 3-4 days anniversary trip: Boston or D.C.? In August - CuseTiger
Came to DC last September for a little over a week and it was hot and humid (93 or 95* with 85% humidity), was not a pleasant experience. I'm in the DC area now and it's been pretty nice the past week, but I'd still stick with Boston for August....

re: Obtaining a Visa for China Questions - CuseTiger
Just wanted to give an update on this. Since I was in DC over the weekend and Monday, realized I could hand my passport/ visa application at the chinese embassy here. Ended up waiting 2 hours at what seemed like the DMV. After getting all the way up there, they asked where the original copy of my...

re: Fall International Flights from Dallas + Atlanta: Madrid $423, London $557 - CuseTiger
Yeah they're trying to get over $1100 from MSY, doesn't make much sense. It looks like the sale is a fare war at everyone else's hubs and since MSY is not a hub for any of the majors, we lose......

Fall International Flights from Dallas + Atlanta: Madrid $423, London $557 - CuseTiger
Bored to shite in a hotel room in Maryland so figured I'll help the Dallas and Atlanta people interested in a fall international trip out. Atlanta people there are also some great deals for you as well (I'm just posting the Dallas flights below but it's pretty much the same locations such as ATL-Pari...

re: A trip for 2 to France - how much should I budget? - CuseTiger
Best time to go price wise will be in the fall. Weather wise, not sure if that's what you're interested in. Just for record, Dallas to Paris for this September through November is $630, it's only $423 to Madrid and $556 to London... Just look for alternative EU countries to fly in/out of and have pa...
I've heard they flag you and may cancel your other flights or charge you a fee
So long as you don't make it a habit, I've heard that you can get away with doing it once. I've never tried it, but I guess if you were doing A-B-C and wanting to stop at B, once you got to B you co...

re: Help finding best airfare rates - CuseTiger
Pretty much unless you are using miles they will charge you an arm and a leg. I saw $700 or so.
I just looked at American's reward availability for MSY-BIL. The entire month of June/July is pretty much blacked out besides one or two days ...

re: Help finding best airfare rates - CuseTiger
You're trying to book a ticket less than 2 weeks in advance from a small airport to a small airport = you're going to pay a lot if you want to go for the weekend of the 4th. I am finding roundtrip Wednesday the 29th- the 4th for around $600 on Delta out of BTR with decent times ($580 if you want to ...

re: AA Platinum Offer- Took Them Up On It - CuseTiger
Does AA ever leave out of MSY to DFW on time?
Every single msy-dfw flight I've been on (probably 20 times or so) has left on time or early. Maybe ive just gotten lucky, its not like flying to lga, jfk, ewr or dca. Try for the 6 or 730am flights and it's usually not an issue....

re: AA Platinum Offer- Took Them Up On It - CuseTiger
You're right about the AA gates at MSY. There's almost no outlets, the food choices are crappy, and at the end of C (like C15/16) it's very cramped if they've got 4 flights going out at once. Those CLT-MSY flights require two stickers and if you have none then you're sort of in limbo because if ...
