You don't realize it, but you basically just stated that you believe that the South should have been allowed to secede from the Union and establish a separate nation that guaranteed to protect the institution of slavery... So much irony.

California would be third world within a month. Say bye bye to the tech companies. Because I assure you they ain't putting up with California's bullshite taxes. Not only that but the tariffs the rest of the country would set would put that state out of business. And you think taxes are high now, imagine what they would levy on the population if they were independent. You'd Venezuela very quickly.

Sorry Mr Carton....I don't follow? Explain?

I think Californians, or anyone who wants to leave, should be allowed to do so.

That being said, I find it funny that for years the southerners and supporters of secession were deemed neo-confederates, racists, and slavery supporters for defending the right to leave a union they no longer wanted to be a part of.

Pretty simple actually.

It would be great if we could send their share of the national debt with them.

Looks like the "adult" left the room when she was asked if this was prompted by Trump's election or if she would be saying this if Hill was elected. Didn't see her response to her state's ability to take in unlimited illegals either..

The part of California that makes them so "self-sufficient" (the part that grows stuff} would not want to leave.

funny how libs pooh pooh ideas until they like them, then blissfully pretend they never held the prior position

The conservative view of CALEXIT versus the liberal view of TEXIT tells you everything you need to know about the sickness that is liberalism.

Conservatives be like, hmm, OK, if if that's what you want.

Liberals be like, "frick you, you ain't going anywhere"

I wouldn't object in the least.

We'd be better off by ourselves but I'm strongly against. You might as well disband the US if people can vote to leave whenever they aren't getting their way.

Is there a GoFundMe site? I'll contribute so long as every Liberal in California renounces their US citizenship and right to vote!

DC bitched when the South seceded and went to war. So let's go take CA back and run out the loonies.

They should vote by county to split. A lot of California is republican and wouldn't want to go. I reckon it would be like when Virginia joined the South and West Virginia split to stay in the Union.

What if counties don't like state rules and cities don't like county rules?

What if districts don't like city rules and individuals don't like district rules?

Oh, wait. That is what you anarchist want.

Cry some more snowflake.
