re: Funniest Movie Ever - Topisawtiger
Lots of great recommendations in this thread. I really like "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me." Laughed til I cried. girl: "Austin, do you smoke after sex." Austin: "I don't know, I've never looked." ...

re: Louisiana: The Most Violent State - Topisawtiger
Sure were a lot of FOX quotes in that in-depth msn.com piece. As a Southern Gentleman, I'm sure you'd feel more at home in a Philly or Chicago inner city. Let us know how it goes, cracker.
Wow. I guess it goes pretty well. Too bad you will never be tagged as a "Southern ...

re: Louisiana: The Most Violent State - Topisawtiger
True. But it seems like to crack the top 5 the state needs to have high poverty plus one or more large urban cities where the "culcha" can be allowed to run rampant. Mississippi is as poor and dumb as anyone but is mostly small towns besides Jackson.
Good thought. I knew this...

re: Louisiana: The Most Violent State - Topisawtiger
TBH, I really don't know other than perhaps the same reason you gave, demo and poverty which I think in this case go hand in hand. But why La is worse than MS I don't know. Maybe all the spicey food. lol My guess would have been the poverty and the after effects of Katrina on an already impoveri...

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl - Topisawtiger
Anyone see this movie? IMHO a great movie, very funny and touching at the same time. An indie film that won several awards at Sundance. Won't spoil it with a big synopsis but it is basically as the title says, a guy, his friend, and a dying girl. A must see....

re: Louisiana: The Most Violent State - Topisawtiger
If "demographics" and/or "poverty" is your thinking, then why is Mississippi not in the top five when it has more "demographics" and is the poorest state in the country. And, inversely would you say that the least violent states are so due to lack of "demographics" and "poverty"? BTW: coul...

Louisiana: The Most Violent State - Topisawtiger
http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/savingandinvesting/americas-most-violent-and-most-peaceful-states/ar-AAdGPBZ Any thoughts on why this is? (I know it is a Yahoo article, sorry.) Also, thoughts on what make the five states the least violent as well? I have my thoughts but will leave them to...

re: The Most "Bizarre" LSU Football Games - Topisawtiger
Mississippi State game in the late 90's, (last time they won before last year) when their rb scored a td to win it by rolling into the endzone from the 3 yard line on 4th down. Refs said they didn't see it and called it a touchdown. Drove me fricking crazy. Welcome to LSU football....

re: How Does the Military Really Feel About Obama? - Topisawtiger
I am retired military and must agree for the most part with the OP. Many I know actually hate Obama. The rest have no respect for the man. I have a cousin that thinks he hung the moon but he doesn't work and is on serious government assistance. FWIW I hate no one but I really despise Obama. A g...

re: Would you support the Federal Reserve purchasing student loan debt? - Topisawtiger
No!! I put myself through nine years of college the old-fashioned way, I worked and paid for it as I went. These clowns who borrowed all that money should be held responsible for their obligations, I was held for mine. The feds should not bail them out while trying to fix stupid. That's just w...

re: Which candidate do your views align with? - Topisawtiger
Rubio at 98%, then Santorum, Cruz, and Walker/Perry. Hillary at 20%, Sanders at 7%. I really like Rubio so glad to see we agree on most things. Like the other four as well. Actually a good test. I feel sorry for those that had Sanders first. Scary stuff.... ...

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl - Topisawtiger
Saw this movie today. Seriously, a great movie. Very funny but touching as well. It is an indie film so only at about 30% of theatres. Don't want to spoil it but there is a synopsis on Fandango. If anyone else has seen it would like to hear your thoughts. Have a great day.....
Have you ever listened to Rush's show for any length of time? Why? I listened to Rush in the late 80s. Even before the famous bake sale. You? He's a first rate psychopath and pervert. He peddles in hate. He made a fortune doing it.
Don't usually comment on lunacy like this, but,...
3. Money or not she has spent her life fighting for women and children-poor women and children.
Oh please. She is so full of crap. She fights for Hillary, nothing else.
1. She was not born rich whereas someone like Romney definitely was. In fact only after the White Ho...

re: Poche had or has Steve Sax Syndrome - Topisawtiger
I was a pitcher in high school and had some scholly offers. Let me tell you the throw to first base is the hardest one for a pitcher to make. To keep from throwing it away, our coach use to have us take a few steps to first base and underhand it if we had time. Not sure why it was so frigging har...
