Brzezinski noted that Trump will refrain from seeking further action against Clinton for her use of a private email server, as well as any investigation into the controversial Clinton Foundation. The report comes from a source familiar with Trump’s plans, according to the MSNBC morning show.

I'll believe it when I hear Trump say it.

This will be the first of many things promised and wont happen. People are so blind, the wall will not be built. I work with many prominent economists and they all say the same thing. "Lack of infastructure around bordering cities makes the task impossible. You would spend a decade building infastructure just to later begin building a wall. By all accounts doing so would add billions if not trillions in debt. So as a conservative how can anybof us support doing so and taking this country further in debt?

Many go to Washington with intentions that dissipate soon after. Trump will be no different. He wont do many of the things he promised like so many other politicians.

I'm taking a wait and see approach because I think Trump is clearly a smart and shrewd guy. But if he doesn't deliver, he will be un-elected.

You mean Donald Trump...the Donald Trump...over-promised and will under-deliver?

Wait, Trump - a man who was a democrat for most of his adult life and INVITED the clintons to his wedding - is not going to do anything to his friends?

Ya don't say!

Do you want your President pushing for the DOJ to investigate folks or do you want the people charged with that task taking the reigns?

I'd prefer that the President step away from the DOJ and the FBI. Let's let the President not influence the IRS while we are at it.

Should be refreshing.

Kellyanne Conway said it - she seems to be the closest thing to a spokesperson Trump has as the moment. Is that good enough?

To be honest the notion of politicizing prosecution at all makes me nervous. I'm not saying that as a swipe at Trump because both sides of the aisle have done this.

In the end of Clinton were to ever be prosecuted (she won't be), it should be done on it's own merits. It shouldn't be done just to keep a campaign promise. Opening the door to politically motivated prosecutions of the out-going or loser party is not a path we should go down.

Whether Clinton should already have been prosecuted is totally separate.

My take on it from a few weeks ago.

The smart move would be to publicly pardon her for the email controversy, and do it relatively early in his presidency. Would go a long way in solidifying support from the left, and thus help unify the country. It may piss off his base some, but right now he has enormous political capital and can afford it. If he goes after her right now, it will hurt trying to forward his agenda. Plus, Libs will literally start a civil war over it.

But the REAL crimes appear to lie in the Clinton Foundation. I think this investigation will take some more time, and more and more shady stuff will leak out from this investigation. And hopefully after some time the media and his AG can provide some political cover and take the hit from the left (i.e. Trump raises his hands up and says he trusts the FBI and AG and theres nothing he can do about this.) The rumored crimes that took place w the foundation are enough to lock her and Bill up for life.

He won't be asking his AG to name a special prosecutor. If the DOJ goes after them he will have had nothing to do with it.
