Trump will be no different. He wont do many of the things he promised like so many other politicians.

I'm taking a wait and see approach because I think Trump is clearly a smart and shrewd guy. But if he doesn't deliver, he will be un-elected

So you honestly believe that his supporters will vote for the democrat in 2020 if Trump doesn't deliver on his promises? If so....LOL

Of course Trump himself wont pursue it, he has bigger fish to fry. Like he is supposed to stop everything to take down a couple crooks. Also needs to wash his hands of it, because it doesn't look good to throw your political opponent in jail right after an election.

Is the Clinton Foundation investigation still open....yes. Is there damning evidence in Weiners emails.....almost certainly. Will the new FBI director continue the investigation.....without a doubt. Will the new DOJ and President trump try to intervene.....nope.

The mental acrobats you guys have been doing to his campaign flip flops is hilarious.

Each day he has pulled back a campaign promise and you guys think it's okay. Hilarious, that's what you get for voting for self interest...you get a guy that only cares about his own. You can never win as a team with 1000 different self interest.

Good luck, especially when your Lazy asses don't get the jobs he promised you. Go work instead of looking for economic handouts

She and the foundation need to be investigated. Trump promised this and Trump should deliver.

If she broke the law she should be prosecuted like any other American.

First I don't think all of the Trump cards are on the table. Pun intended. There could be a number of reasons he made the announcement: market stability, preventing political retribution before he takes office, fostering cohesion between parties, calming protestors.. many reasons. None of which I believe, are because he's a nice guy and Hillary deserves a break.
But yes, I do believe that if he goes against so many campaign promises that he made, and had his supporters chanting mantras for, he won't be re-elected. And if you disagree, I'd be interested to know why.. And please.. Not just "because they're racist."

Morning Joe is reporting today that president-elect Donald Trump will not be pursuing any criminal investigations into his former political rival Hillary Clinton.

It is not up to him. If he stops the Rule of Law from being carried out he is no better than Obama.

As is his justice department.

This statement does not rule out charges for Clinton....but it does rule out a politically-driven investigation. I'm okay with that.

Trump can say he "isn't interested", and Clinton still face indictment and prison.

Plus it is pretty early in the process to take that off the table without some significant concession by the Dems.

It pretty much does rule out charges against Clinton and the Clinton Foundation. Like I said earlier, it's a deal that was made, also possibly for the press to get off Trump's back? In any event it could be a terrible mistake and be seen exactly as Ford's pardon of Nixon in the 70's. Ford's pardoning Nixon was a major reason why Carter beat Ford, because Ford was seen as weak and part of the Republican insider establishment that so many were disenchanted with.
Even if Sessions still investigates and charges Clinton, it still shows a weakness as Trump is turning against campaign principles he laid out so fervently.
