I too like to ignore meaningful sample sizes to help my case. Regardless of how strong your nostalgia is for the Greatness of MJ and your opinion that he had no weaknesses, he was not a good 3 point shooter.*

*Came to conclusion through career numbers and not his best series for 3 pt. shot performance

Ok you are missing the point... With the dominance the '92 team would have inside. Any threes the '92 team could make would just be icing on the cake... Face it dude... '92>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Current.. And its not that close.. BTW I bet you were not even 5 years old when the dream team played... You are trying to argue with people that lived through it LIVE. Not just hightlights and stats....

Lebron took a team to the finals with Boobie Gibson as the second best player.

Spent 4 ish years having the Cavs as NBA title contenders without ever having a better second player than Moe Williams.

Yeah, he definitely can't make teammates better

As another reference point, Kevin Durant is shooting 40% from 3 this year.

kevin durant would be injured going into the olympics as well

40.7% from Stockton
40.6% from Bird
33.7% from Drexler

that'd give them decent spacing if you wanted to play that game.

Let me know when you can find a gif of Robinson doing things like this:

the fallacy in your stance resides in this sentence...and again that play isn't all that athletic.

He is a passer 1st and a scorer second. He runs the floor with the ball like no other player EVER. His teammates don't just stand there and watch him ballhog like Brons do... Face it. You punks have only seen highlights of Magic...

The guy was a WINNER like Bron will never come close to. That leadership leads to other players better...

I don't know why you think they'd be so dominant inside. They wouldn't be playing against 1992 Angola and Croatia. They wouldn't even be playing against just NBA starters.

They'd be playing the best NBA players in 2015.

The idea that they'd be light years better inside like they would just score at will is just absurd.

Jesus, man. You're predicating everything on the fact that he dunks hard.

I guess that's what makes one person a far superior athlete than someone else. Clearly that's your only criteria here, so I'll bow out and laugh from a distance.

Shawn Kemp, Darryl Dawkins, and Vince Carter are the best athletes ever based on his criteria.

PJ says

quote:

MJ would light them up from 3....... Even Magic could light it up from 3 in 1992...

Stats are brought up.

quote:

Magic was a 32% 3-point shooter and Jordan was 27% in 1991-92.

PJ retreats and changes stance.

quote:

Ok you are missing the point... With the dominance the '92 team would have inside.

If you ever have a fake fire and your trailer fake burns down and you need cash, you should teach a class on how to be so stupid at arguing that you can't lose.

The 5's of the 92 team are better players and more versatile. Ewing could beat you inside and out The Admiral was a young Admiral and better than AD

They could match power athleticism and shot

Remember Robinson was like AD a ball handler that grew

What can prime Magic do better than prime Lebron?

Pass.

That's it.

To argue anything else, is to admit you are inherently bias. And this is no knock on Magic, he's a top 5 player all time. But Lebron is better

In your eyes..... But it would be wrong... I hate todays sports fan.... They know nothing about the past so instead of embracing and appreciating it, They bash it cause they don't know any better..I have seen both eras and are way more qualified to judge compared to 20 something Punks...

Have a nice day.....

I bet if track wasn't timed, people would say today's sprinters couldn't measure up to Carl Lewis when high schoolers are running better times.

I have only read through the first couple pages of the thread, but I am pretty butthurt that everyone has accepted this as fact even though it is patently false.

I put a fricking good response on page 2 how Carl Lewis ran a 9.86 that is significantly faster than every high schooler ever, but the MSB never fricking fact checks.

33% is not good.

Bird was a cripple then. He had to watch games like this because his back was so bad and he could only play half the season:

And if you want to play Stockton, go ahead.

I saw your response

It's shitty that the facts were wrong, but I think his message is a good one (should've used a better analogy though).

If track weren't timed, people would say Lewis would smoke Usain Bolt.

He was a 6'9" point guard that could run the court and also played center in the finals his rookie year and won finals MVP doing so. Magic is a better all around player than LBJ. LBJ is probably a better scorer when he wants to be but even that is a toss up.
