He was a 6'9" point guard that could run the court and also played center in the finals his rookie year and won finals MVP doing so. Magic is a better all around player than LBJ. LBJ is probably a better scorer when he wants to be but even that is a toss up.

Right and I think LBJ and Magic are pretty close in terms of basketball IQ and ability. In fact, I hate that people compare LBJ to MJ because he is so much closer to the type of player Magic was IMO.

You just described Lebron except he was faster, bigger, stronger than Magic.
Lebron never played C in the finals and that was very impressive but neither of them played C much at all in their careers. Lebron plays it in very short and sparse spurts. Magic played it iin the finals and balled out- very impressive, but to act as if it was part of his overall portfolio is silly (i.e- in a game like this or in today's NBA, he would never play Center anyway).

If that's a tossup then passing is a toss-up (which neither is)
Post any stat to defend why Magic is even a "toss-up" with LBJ at scoring.
And defense..

I am visibly shaken and scared.
Wait,
you're an old retard on the internet who makes up stories so strangers give him attention

Magic had that one season he tried to play again and only scored like 14 PPG but other than that he's 7 or so PPG behind LBJ but he has a higher shooting % and almost double the assist. He also had more steals per game though not as many blocks.
They are very close when you compare everything.

They are very close, I'd agree. But scoring and passing cancel out. They're both great at each and best each other in 1 of the categories a piece.
Defense goes to Lebron hands down. That's where I base the tiebreaker. Rebounding probably Lebron also.

What can prime Magic do better than prime Lebron?
Pass.
Pass infintly better.
better handle.
Better half court offense
Better running the break.
Better post player.
Rebounding is probably a push.
LeBron has an edge on outside shooting and dunking. That's it.

LBJ 7.1 RPG
Magic 7.2 RPG
I also don't see how you say it's clear LBJ is the better defender hands down. Magic averaged more steals though LBJ has more blocks. It really is a toss up between them.

since we're making fake teams(and even adding Spaniards), we can give the Dream team Reggie Miller, and say, Mitch Richmond.
the game has changed, they didn't have power forwards shooting 3's back then. But they did have great shooters on the wing. Give me those 2 guys, we can make Bird a player-coach, and kick Laettner off all together.

So not rebounding. Basically it's a wash before defense.
The poster above is vastly underrating Lebron as he does everything listed about as well as or better than Magic, other than pass.

Magic averaged 12ast per game and the Lakers played the 3rd slowest pace in the NBA in his last "real" season. Oh, and also 19 pts, and 7rebs. And led his team to the finals. But the guy was washed up

Why do I have a feeling you NEVER saw Magic play..........

There is so much more to defense than block+steal stats.
Lebron has had 2-3 years where he was arguably the best perimeter defender in the league, and also has been the league's most versatile defender. He's like Pippen on defense.

You hand picked one race from Carl Lewis's career. His PR is 9.86.
Link to the HS that ran 9.98. To my knowledge, no high school has ever broken 10.
