Cancelled Plans; 4.2M and counting

Btw, I think these numbers are way short. No way that the likes of GA/Fla lose 400k and NY only loses 100k.

It is curious that there are states that apparently have no people losing coverage. What is driving that?

You serious clark?

Ever thought that maybe they just aren't reporting? Hell, CA's insurance commissioner just came out 2 days ago with their numbers.

Maybe they haven't reported yet. Maybe they're seeing if/when the administration backtracks and lets these plans actually remain.

Good. The only way to get rid of this crap is for America to suffer. It sucks, but it's the only way.

If the Dems still have a Senate majority after all of this, there is just no hope for this country.

I have thought about all sorts of scenarios....they aren't reporting yet, they already had regulations in place that plans available in the state satisfied the requirements of Obamacare, that once again someone on the right was using less than truthful information to support an unfounded prediction that will prove to be as wrong as all such predictions are from the right....yeah, I have thought about all sorts of shite...

The real number that I am interested in is how many people didn't have insurance before the law as passed and how many will have when it is in effect AND what the median cost increase/decrease is when all is said and done.....if there are fewer insured people and the median cost has increased dramatically than ya'll will have finally proven the maxim that a blind pig finds an acorn once in a while.

I am not convinced (and ya'll can't categorically prove) that either of these will come to pass....I think that there is going to eventually be a larger number of people with health insurance and that costs increases will slow down but more importantly the median cost of insurance will be lower than it would have been otherwise for two reasons....first is the pre-existing condition factor that would have made buying coverage at any cost impossible prior to the ACA. This alone will negate (mathematically) every anecdote offered up of people's coverage costing 1000% more than it did before hand. And the other thing that will do this is the coverage that 18-26 year olds will not have to buy at all.....those numbers will drive down the cost for a huge number of people which will also help drive down then median cost.

So what is my point? Why don't ya'll tell the truth....middle class folks insurance rates are going to either go through the roof and many people are no longer going to have the same policy they did have. This is the truth and it is plenty ammo to shoot down the ACA...but when ya'll resort to spreading anecdotal evidence and trying to relate it to proof that people are going to be dying at the hands of death panels ya'll lose all credibility. Of course credibility is almost impossible to come by on the right because you have to depend on lies to spread the gospel of the right....

Fyi, I didn't read a single fricking thing in your response. You really need to learn how to post short and to the point responses.

What lack, that of the right? Ya'll feign righteous indignation when Obama lies about people keeping their coverage but are OK with the rights lies about everyone's rates going up and death panels and all of the other nonsense that ya'll spread everyday??? Obama lied about people keeping their policies....the $2500 savings jury is out but it looks like that may be false also.....SO Obama's credibility (and his approval ratings) are dropping like a stone....but instead of the right taking advantage of this and sticking to the truth the right HAS to default to their normal setting of spreading misinformation and outright lies.

But I can feel your pain....yes, Obama lies also so it is Ok for the right to lie....there is some intellectual honesty for you to hang your hat on.

you need to explain this logic to me

do you think b/c they're not personally buying plans, there is no cost to these plans?

Just a small fraction of people who had substandard plans.

the rights lies about everyone's rates going up and death panels

when was the last time "death panels" were discussed in any meaningful way? that seems like something from 2011

and rates ARE going up for many people. i am one of them. how is that a lie?

Always looking forward my friend.....I am not committed to the past or lost causes like so many southerners seem to be....and yes, that means I am a progressive or a liberal or a democrat or a communist.....I understand that being upbeat and excited about the future does not fit in with the current GOP's vision of the world (every since Obama was elected the sky has been falling) but I simply insist in looking '...on the bright side of life"...and I am very happy!
