The Athletic

"LSU wideouts — First Nabers at sixth, and then Brian Thomas Jr. went 23rd to Jacksonville. It’s the first time that LSU has had two first-round wide receivers. Now, Nabers and Thomas will look to join Ja’Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, D.J. Chark and Odell Beckham as the next great wide receivers from LSU. It was a big night as a whole for wide receivers as a total of seven came off the board in the first round."

LSU was the only school mentioned in the winners column. (No schools were called out as losers.) Other winners - quarterbacks, offensive players, Philadelphia Eagles, Kyler Murray, and Daniel Jones.

Kind of funny thought- Jayden had 3 of his former weapons drafted tonight (Nabors, Thomas, and Pearsall)

And another former weapons of his might get traded today for an early pick (Ayuik) who was also a first rounder

So what you are saying is, Bowe and Davis were drafted in the first round in 2007?

Sounds fishy.

It's fricking wild how "journalists" really could give frick all about checking facts these days.

It's apparently way more important to just get content out than figure out if it's accurate first.

There were multiple reports yesterday of LSU being the first school to ever have 4 QBs drafted in the top 3 picks, when they actually had 5.

They later changed that to be Top 2 picks, which left out Y.A. Tittle, who was drafted 3rd.

Landry will always be a 1st rounder in my heart.

He should have been, has had a better career than many of them.

Honestly that looks like something they pushed through ChatGPT.

It’s scary how many jobs out there have people getting told or just using ChatGPT or other AI, which often will get something that sounds like it would be correct but it flat out wrong or slightly off.

The athletic has been struggling the last few years, they cut pretty much all the guys who started it as a more old school and legit reporting source and the quality of their work in that time has shown. They had a brief period there where it was the best sport news source around

Ahh my childhood memory has failed me. Guess I just remember them all three being projected as potential first rounders during that 2006 season
