"A Walmart in Apopka, Fla., had a surprise visitor Sunday when a 6-foot-long alligator wandered near its front door, reported ABC affiliate WFTV in Orlando."

it said in the article that he was in the retention pond behind the store, and that they would 'put him down' since he apparently has 'lost his fear of humas'.. which is bull shite.. just take him back to the glades, or a zoo

Thats bull shite they killed it. Let that sucker go in a swamp far away from people.

Those things are dinosaurs and its a damn shame they aren't protected more IMO.

I love me some alligator meat and have some alligator belts, but they shouldn't be allowed to be killed at this high of a rate and not until they are a certain size (old enough to have created offspring at least once).


ETA:

6 ft is a small gator. It had a long life of baby making ahead of it.
