I Might Start Hanging Out With You Guys Again

I haven't decided for sure. Last time I was here, I made fun of some people for killing harmless snakes and got banned for months. But, summer time is boring time, and I need something to read. Sometimes y'all post funny things.
So, what has happened here in the past year or so? I turkey hunted some. Had a crappy year but got lucky and shot one. I've done a little "bream" fishing with my kid this spring. And, I've gone on a couple of "herping" trips. Those have nothing to do with herpes. Think herpetology combined with photography.

I really don't know what I did, but the only offensive thing I could remember was in one of those dead snake threads. Somebody must have complained.
*I think I posted a photo of a guy with a broken neck. I guess that's off limits.

Well, I haven't been gone that long.
Shooting my longbow started giving me tendonitis in my left elbow, so I didn't hunt with it this past year. Maybe I can get back in practice this summer and join you in the traditional bow kills column next year.

Ya haven't missed too much. I got drunk and started a thread about a tie I had on. Didn't go well.

LOL. I'm going to try. I should be used to it at 38 years old, but the snake killing is a hot button for me.
Last year was a crappy falconry season too. I was keeping my hawk through the summer to fly a second season, but she somehow broke her leg in the mews. After surgery, long story short, she died of other complications. I trapped another red tail that I didn't like. I released him and decided I'd just spend the season hunting sparrows and starlings with a kestrel. I soon learned that kestrels just aren't my bag, and released that one too. So, I took most of the season off and just hunted other ways. I'll get a new red tail this fall and get back in the game.
