Not sure if they are eating up the grass in some places, but where I fished a bunch there was really thick hydrilla, now its dead water with pink eggs on everything that sticks out the water....

Animals especially deer feel safe in thick cover. I had a lease with almost all mature pines with hardly any underbrush, deer were few and far between. When they came and clear-cut half of it the population immediately went up....

The lake itself is not the best for bass. The water is algae green right now and really hot. Stay round where the bayous empty into the lake with some good water....

We like to pull up to single pole "satellites" are what we call them. Do about 3 circles around it. then back up to it with the motor and nail the gas, throwing the wash on it. They are extremely curious and most times if they are there, they will come up to investigate....
