I saw one of the new Americacats last week in Fourchon and it was amazing! 36-38' I believe. I want one

i think 2 captains run 31' ameracats out of venice...supposed to be phenomenal riding boats. i kinda like the utilitarian layout too

Yeah yeah yeah...you win.
When I was working on the spill in Fourchon, my boss had this boat, except it was bright yellow. Quite a nice thing to wake up to everyday...though I'm pretty sure BT (or the owner's brother) was running it most days as a supervisor boat.

The freedman 40 is a dam nice boat, I've never ridden in a cat though. I've done a lot of fishing on 3 boats a 30' stamas a 31' contender and a 39' contender. The stamas had a wide beam and a lot of room but was heavy and didn't have a flat deck in the front. The 31 contender didn't have as much room was a little faster but was wet as hell. The 39 doesn't even feel like the same boat as the 31 so far we haven't gotten wet, has a much wider beam, and is fast as all hell with plenty of room for fish. I like how contenders are set up to fish no unnecessary frills.

I'm just jabbing at ya.
I'm envious. I really don't have any friends, rich coworkers, bosses, or anyone with any of the big boats like the ones mentioned or pictured.
I need to go find someone with one to mooch off of.

I don't either. I never got to ride in the Yellowfin...just look at it parked next to his 40' Albemarle everyday.
One of my dad's buddies has a 32' SeaVee that I've fished in twice...so that's about the extent of my "big boat" hookups lol.

I know a few guys whose parents have big boats...but I'm not friends with them. I'm content on my 22' Blue Wave...it'll get me all the fish I want haha.

Ditto. Doesn't matter what kind...I could sit on the banks of the Mississippi, Intracoastal, or the pass in Destin or Orange Beach all day and just watch boats. I'm about as easy to keep entertained as a 5 year old

I do enjoy boats, but that Jennifer Aniston thread is the tits!

My buddies and I were sitting on the beach last week and I was literally commenting on every boat that was crushing the shore. Everythig from sportfishers to flats boats.

This is the best CC money can buy for the Gulf of Mexico choppy waters. They build a 33' too! Its a sweet riding boat. Fishes real good and runs in a 4'-6' chop at 40 mph nice. I had fished out of one a few times. All kinds of room. Great fit and finish to them.
If I were to buy a new CC, the 33 freeman would be at the top of the list! You can have it custom built to what you like in a boat for little extra money.

How is the "sneeze" on these?

SOOOO many diff variables with offshore CC boats. Size, motors, hull, etc.
Freeman is a mean machine. Fished on the 33 last year and loved it!! Truely almost perfect boat for GOM fishing. I'd love to see what that Freeman 40 does.
Fished in alot of diff boats from a CC to the sportfishers.
They all do well in calm seas It just depends on what you are looking for in a boat. For my money, I'd want a CC though.
