re: A Confederacy of Dunces...Greatest Louisiana based Novel? - DuckManiak
Haven't read it, but constantly looking for books on my kindle. Will bookmark this thread. Also, I'm going to go with Blood Bath- Susan D. Mustafa the story of Derrick Todd Lee. I wasn't old enough at the time to understand everything going on, so it was really interesting....

re: When did the LNST die? - DuckManiak
Duke plants kinda low ball their contract help but not as bad as some of the others
Per diem definitely. Only pay $95 compared to their $125/day county rate. Can write off the difference, so it's not too bad. Just have to wait until the end of the year. Never worked any TN plants...

re: When did the LNST die? - DuckManiak
It's not too bad as far as Duke plants go. Would much rather be in an Entergy plant, but I'm partial to Entergy since there are 3 nuclear plants within 100 miles of my house....

re: Haven't had a dip in 2 weeks, today. - DuckManiak
Haven't dreamt about it yet though.
I'm on nightshift, and just woke up. Literally had to make myself realize it was a dream. Shite is getting serious  once I'm up, I have no craving for it. Subconsciously, it's a different story, though....

re: Haven't had a dip in 2 weeks, today. - DuckManiak
I quit late November. Haven't done it since. You're correct, day 3 was the hardest. I woke up covered in sweat. I still have dreams about taking a big pinch and they seem so real. Haven't touched it IRL though  I get my fix while I'm sleeping....

re: For those thinking about suicide - DuckManiak
A close friend of mine was diagnosed with bipolar disorder 2 weeks before his suicide. It sucks. He left his loving family, a beautiful girlfriend, and friends that loved him dearly. I would have never known anything was wrong with him. Had a few drinks with him a night before he took his life. Miss...

re: Quitting Dip - DuckManiak
You must have not read the thread, seeds don't help so you must be lying
 shite, I wouldn't have kept going if it weren't for seeds. Dip is just a bad habit. Yeah, the nicotine hooks you, but the 3rd time I dipped I didn't get a buzz. For 8 years I was throwing a pinch in out...

re: Quitting Dip - DuckManiak
Quit at the end of November. Woke up one day and threw my full can away. Got through the remainder of hunting season and I'm on my second shut down still going strong. Seeds help, but it's no substitute. You have to really want to. I still get cravings and when I go into a gas station, I'm tempted t...

re: Gave up dipping for lent... - DuckManiak
I quit in November. Woke up one day and threw my can away. Still get cravings at the weirdest times, but it's mind over matter. You have to really want to quit to actually stick to it. I got through hunting season and my first shutdown of the year in January. On another shut down now and still going...
