Dad and I have some Buicks because he is also a big Buick fan, and I've grown to like them. Most of the really big 50's Buicks (the land barges) have gone over to Europe where they bring a strong price.

I'd like to have a GS and a nice Riviera.

I'll take the 53 Skylark if you have one. Awesome, awesome car.

We have a 54 Roadmaster which is close ... but I'd rather have the Skylark (and a convertible).

The 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS is friggin' sweet (guards red, black leather/Alcantara interior). I tried working a trade today with my 911. Couldn't get it done.

Best post in the thread, esp. If OP is gonna track the car a bit.

Only downside is that the new bodystyle is,out.

Meh

Should help drop the price on a C6. I could never run that car to it's capability anyway so I definitely wouldn't do a C7 justice.

I couldn't imagine owning a corvette with an automatic though.

The new autos (Z06) are on constraint b/c that's what 90% of the buyers want.

You can buy/order the stick Z now for MSRP, they are at least available.

It's getting to where modern automatics are so advanced that they are posting 0-60 times significantly faster (more than just a couple tenths) than manuals. I had the same attitude when I bought my 911. Then I put it on the track at NOLA. I was begging for a Tiptronic or PDK - seemed like I was always between gears. Advanced automatics and paddle shifters are a very viable option on sports cars now. Many of the high end exotics aren't even making manual transmissions any more.

I sure do hate those electronic limited slip differentials, rev-matching gear changes (if I have a manual), launch control, and electronic ignition timing (to name a few).

Absolutely no reason to get a stick in a performance car today. We're not talking about the auto found in a Camry. You are basically being given a manual that can shift faster/more precise than you, all with the press of a button.

Unless you like driving a stick.

I don't care which is faster by fractions of seconds. I like powerful vehicles to have 3 pedals. If I were buying a sports car, it would be because I wanted something fun to drive, not because it was going to get me to the next red light 1.0274 seconds faster.
