re: New handgun: Springfield XD Mod.2 (40 cal) - CharlesLSU
Yes...love it. Not a fan of the lettering but dont care that much. was close to getting the XDS in 45 ACP, but capacity was too low. great concealed carry piece. Sure the Glock 19 is wonderful but its not what I want to place inside my belt. ...

Bought it this week, ran 50 rounds through it Yesterday and I am really liking this piece. I plan to use it as my CH carry. Accurate for a subcompact as well....

re: Would you deny a prior service member, that has a tattoo, a job? - CharlesLSU
Service tattoos are the only ones that make any sense to me. That said, ink doesnt define one's character........granted it does seem many of questionable character get them. I give everyone a chance and judge on actions, not graffiti. ...

re: Rickey Jefferson throwing up 315 - CharlesLSU
Absolutely Eta: coaching is even more influential than raw power. The clean is hard technique, whereas bench press is more simplified with physics. I've seen guys clean 400+that would boggle the mind, but struggle with dead lifts, bench, etc. ...

re: Rickey Jefferson throwing up 315 - CharlesLSU
Couldn't remember to save my life. Boo Boo was likely the strongest power cleaner of that group at 375-385. Of course andolsek years before that held the record at 445 for a long time. Big E was insane....saw him fricking rep 405 and it was staggeringly easy....

re: Rickey Jefferson throwing up 315 - CharlesLSU
I am a high school football coach. My original argument was that most guys can do it because every upperclassman in our program can do 250. I showed a lifting video and was corrected t that most of our kids are actually squat cleaning. That's where my activity in this thread stemmed from. I...

Pass the FE and present yourself in a personable and bright manner.........you'd be surprised how the school is overlooked. You must pass the FE. Seems like many Southern grads can't get passed it....

re: Engineering Shortage : Myth or Fact - CharlesLSU
I have found it difficult to find quality talent. I look for well rounded grads that display social skills as well as technical. The bulk of my staff are aTm grads (and are fantastic) with some LSU Masters grads (also fantastic). I've interviewed many and the worst typically come from Texas Tech....
Big boned huh? Right. You could be 180 and lean
Artie, I could be 210 and damn lean. Considering I closed out at LSU weighing 302 and benching 500lbs, 210 is even a stretch....

In the spirit of fatness: my recent experience with dropping a few - CharlesLSU
I was back to the husky side in January at 260+, but today I am around 235 with diet adjustments and great reduction in alcohol. I have to say that it feels amazing considering the better sleep, much less joint pain lifting, and just feeling spry all the way around. I know moderate daily alcoh...

15 yo and you bought him a GT? That is not wise.....hopefully he doesn't put sorrow on your face. Seriously, that is really wreckless. ETA: my uncle bought my cousin a tricked out (600HP) GT at 16 years old and I think that's dumb as hell as well.......
