Is there any legit estimate on how many Louisiana born people live in metro Houston?

My buddy lives at Jackson hill, it's nice and because it's not one of the brand new places it is reasonable - $1,500/mo

I toured Jackson Hill. It's nice, but I find they're asking too much. They wanted $1900 for a 2/2 that was 1121 sq ft, and didn't offer much in amenities.

Some of those places have crazy high prices like Elan Park, Pearl Washington, 2900 West dallas

You can sleep on Ryno's sofa until you get your feet wet.

You'll develop a pension for hand crafted double IPAs, 250 yd 4 irons, tuna salad on Melba, and Rothschild double magnums.

Also, Astros baseball.

If you want to live "in the loop" I don't see how you could live anywhere but the heights or Washington area for traffic purposes.

I came to the same conclusion. I've been checking google maps for travel times to/from different areas estimated at the times I'd be traveling. I like some places in Montrose area and closer to downtown, but it would make the commute worse.

I wish my office was going to be downtown.

West u, is where my parents lived by rice, and it is now very expensive. I suggest you find a suburb out of the loop and commute in, I also had to make the tough choice for o n get in 2001. Still in h town. First bought a house in Pearland but property tax and traffic was a killer, so I moved towards Laporte. Good luck, it ain't that bad, good text mex, decent seafood, and get get back home to BR in 4.5 hrs on a good traffic day!

I was single once??.. now I have wife and two kids. So I'm putting my 4 story townhome located in Museum District up for rent when the new house is finished. Midtown & Museum District are prime locations for the single life.

Washington ave is nice.. lots of dbag bars but there are good restaurants over there.

The heights is a great area for late 20s+. Mcintyres is a great bar.

midtown is fun and very convenient. Most of my friends that live there are mid 20s to mid 30s.

Eado is a pretty cool area and I live there now. I miss midtown though.

if you don't have a family, don't move to the burbs outside the loop. If you move outside the loop, make sure it's right outside.. like uptown.. you will find yourself ubering everywhere b/c your friends will be at a bar inside the loop.

For 2000/month, you can find really nice places. if you want to check out a new downtown highrise that is extremely nice, check out the star. they have move in specials now b/c they haven't finished building it
