re: Moving to Houston Next Week - 337tigergirl
Actually living in Houston. Inside the loop. You get what you pay for. If he's young and has no kids, midtown, heights, rice village, or eado is perfect. Renting has it's advantages when you have no kids and want a social life that doesn't include going to Sherlocks in the woodlands. Eww ...

re: Opinion on cash wedding registries? - 337tigergirl
It's probably tacky to some people bc they feel awkward giving the $20 they would have spent on some forks. It kind of magnifies the amount of their gift? I have no clue bc of my culture. I always give a certain amount per person. I.e. If I have a date, I give more. ...

Hi, northern lights is on my bucket list. My birthday is in November and I think I'm going to try to see it then. I am thinking of taking the 3 days before thanksgiving off so I can have an entire week. Where is the most budget friendly city to fly to? Also, any tips would be awesome. Thinking ...

re: Italy in 10 days.. itinerary help - 337tigergirl
We have already booked our rooms. I did London, Paris, and Barcelona in 8 days a few years ago. Taking the morning trains won't be an issue. I travel for work and just drove 7 hours around Illinois the other day so I think I can do the move around bit. We took one of the days of our time in ...

re: How to stop inner city violence - 337tigergirl
Didn't read the whole thing but.. Education Welfare legislation change- incentivize the people who work. The current system cuts you off quickly if you are working over the minimum hours. What motivation would they have to work if their benefits are cut immediately if they try to better themselve...

re: Yosemite - 337tigergirl
I went last year but I only went for the panoramic hike from glacier point down to the bottom. It was a 8 mile hike that took 4-1/2 hours. I could have easily spent 2-3 days there. It's absolutely breath taking and amazing. If you're not hiking, I'm not sure how many days would be worth it. Sorr...

re: Italy in 10 days.. itinerary help - 337tigergirl
I'm going with 2 gfs and we spent $1600 on all airbnb accommodations for 11 nights. So only 5-600 each. I don't really hard budget on vacations, I'm thinking $1-200/day spending. Each day differs, so some days will be spent hiking or doing a tour. I doubt I'll spend $2k but who knows. I heard everyt...

Hey, I changed the itinerary. 2 nights in Venice 2 nights cinque terre 3 Florence 4 Rome. I'm thinking of using the last day to day trip to positano. I figure if you get on a train in the morning it's not a big deal to move around a lot. ...
