I don't get it...Mitch took down those statues that were scaring folks away. Why are you still leaving?

All BS aside, if you have to leave, you could do a lot worse than Houston. I think that you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Hell, with all of the expats / LSU fans there, I'm surprised that Alleva hasn't considered playing one of the OOC rent a win home games at Reliant. Then again, maybe he has...

Lola on Yale serves milkshakes with your breakfast to combat your hangover. Enjoy.

I didn't say it was the best for the frequent bar fly or trendy inner looper socialite.

you don't have to be inside to find action. but op did mention 2 year stay inside so you are correct

They opened one near the Galleria too. Never been to that one, but been to the one in Vintage Park many times - it's fantastic. Chicken fried steak topped with poached eggs to go along with a Baltika - damn.

True, but he'd be going back into town from Energy Corridor so it wouldn't be too bad. I work off 10 and leave at 5'ish and it's not too bad until you get to Durham area.

I really like Memorial by Windsor (great location and pool), though they quoted me $1680 on May 7th and the same vacant unit is now $1905 because of their dynamic pricing and they won't change it. And they charge $125/mo HOA fee for an apartment.

Operative word being OWNER. How can they legally charge you for something you don't own?

And 1680 in Houston is a steal these days. Most people I know that live in nicer/upper scale apartments are easily in the 2k/month range.

Im assuming youre looking at renting an apartment - Anywhere north of Montrose and south of I-10 is a good spot... Think Washington Ave, Allen/memorial, or west Dallas. You get access to a world class park, proximity to more bars and restaurants than you'll know what to do with, easy freeway access, and better value than midtown, heights or Montrose

I grew up in Louisiana and I now live in Houston Sugarland area then Kingwood for 10 years and now in Katy. The quality of life in Texas beats Louisiana hands down. Don't get me wrong, I love Louisiana, but there are so many things going on in Houston Metro area it's ridiculous. Especially, for a single guy.

Energy corridor will be on I-10 and the traffic will be really bad!!I drive from Katy to downtown everyday and it takes a while, so I would live close to work. Memorial City is kick arse!

I'm law to the party but 2411 would be a great choice. I'm staying at 3800 Main in Midtown and can give you more info on them later if you would like

Go to Washington Street, Richmond Street, Downtown area, City Center, Galleria Area, Woodlands area (around the mall), Kema, The Strand, ton of resturants, Memorial Park (go running) and any one of the 100+ micro breweries in the Metro area. I could go on and on.

Jesus. Snatch that up quick. I had an 1100 sqft apt. (which included a shitty loft) outside of 610 for 1500 a few years ago.

Same. That's only because the wife wanted to move the family out of the Heights.

Live in inside the loop. It's fun, close to everything. Your drive won't be bad.

Now I just gotta deal with the fun of selling my house in Metairie.

No you are not. Blue Oak would not be ranked in the top 100 BBQ places in Houston.

Just sign the lease now, that is a hell of a deal.
