Yes, she serves as a veterinarian.
I see that now. Like Navy said, good on her.
I see real evidence of the pussification of America, though. In this thread. By the assholes who would denigrate such an accomplishment.

It's the NON-COMBAT version of the Army med badge. She's not a combat soldier so I don't see the hate she's getting. She's in a support role and decided to earn this EFMB on her own.
She hit a wall at the end and fought through it. Most people wouldn't even attempt this and some would have given up when they hit their breaking point. She didn't quit... good for her.

This makes sense. No way a standalone 12 mile ruck would have a 1 in 5 pass rate. We used to do that every Thursday for Sergeant time training.
Did you see the list of tasks that are required to pass the EFMB? That list, plus the road march is what makes the pass rate for the badge less than 20%.

The success rate is just 17 percent, Task & Purpose reported.
It is so easy that 83% of the people that attempt it fail
Yet the OT, filled with world class athletes who have never seen a physical challenge they couldnt conquer, shite all over it
to the OT...home to the greatest collection of badasses the world has ever seen

Did everyone miss the part where it says the trial culminates in a 12 mile march? There was other shite prior to the march she had to do.
At the end of our road marches we had to do things like set up bivouac, set up perimeter defense, defend against assault or assault a mock enemy fortification. The road marches were just the start of an entire field problem. We didn't get to just drop and set on our arse.

Plus, tons of men attempt to earn this badge and outright fail. But I don't see a bunch of insecure internet nerds claiming that as proof that men are weak.

That was the point of my comment.

Did you take the one that 83% of people failed? And were you a non-combat veterinarian?

That's sweet.
When I went through basic at Ft. Benning (a long time ago), doing a 12 mile road march with a full combat load was a MINIMUM requirement to get the blue cord.

Was it after all the other shite she had to do?

You'll never have a clue about the relief felt when finishing the ruck march during the EFMB if you've never been around it or tried it. It's the last thing to do in the entire process. The fact that she made it means she can wear the badge and never go through that again. It might have been the last thing she needs to help her get promoted. You never know, it might have been her 3rd or 4th time trying to get it. (The average attempts at getting the badge is 3 time.) It's that hard to get.
If you fail one portion of all those tests, you're kicked out. Tough luck, wait till next year,

Comne on dude, are you really comparing this woman's accomplishment to fricking basic training??

Right. We started our 30k at midnight, after having spent 3 days being attacked by opfor.
I'm not trying to shite on her, I don't have an EFMB, just referring to the comments that say that none of us could do a 12 miler.

12 miles in 3 hours great
how much weight? with 40-50lbs on your back 4 miles and hour isn't hard.
I know guys who do 12 miles with around 100 in under 3 hours

That's fair, but this one guy has in here and he said 83% of people fail and it averages 3 tries to succeed.
Can't imagine all those failures are women
