And it actually has better living in the metro area that surrounds it. You can find nice places near the Reservoir, Madison, or Ridgeland.
You can get away from the crap. It's harder to do that in BR because the traffic is so much worse there.
That being said, I hate Jackson and I can't wait to move.

I would put BR above Montgomery and Jackson only because BR has LSU to add entertainment. Other than that they are all shitholes.

Jackson's downtown makes BR's downtown look like Manhattan.

The only redeeming qualities about Montgomery are decent restaurants when you're traveling through and I65 and U.S. 231.
