Makes me never want to marry
Posted on 9/24/15 at 6:42 pm to jimbeam
Idk what it will take for me to do it.
I'm going sit on the floor in my living room and hug all of my stuff.

The ex hides behind the paperwork only when it benefits her. Her replies to me are always well that is what the divorce paperwork says. I always tell her it also states that she would have all 3 children when the paperwork was drawn up and signed. Only two of my children lived with her but I still pay her for all three. Lol.

well, never had to go thru it, but I did study law, participated in learning about contracts, listened to guys who got screwed around by getting the wrong lawyer, besides not knowing their rights or what they could or should do....I learned that the marriage license was one key part to the confusion.
the license is a contract with the state
I periodically posted a link to a website who has a pdf explaining the contract.....most here just yawned
I still have fred handy;
LINK
I'll look for the other link

Trucker I think that was the whole thing I mean when I went to divorce mediation I had no clue what to do. Unknown to me my ex had been talking to her recent divorced friends and she had a plan. I mean I got raped bad. Lost it all just so my kids would not be affected so I thought. Ex let the house go into foreclosure and packed up my two youngest and headed 6 hours away to live with her new bf. Only thing I got out of 12 years of marriage, a rusted out grill and a handicapped minature pincher my daughter had just found.
I can laugh now

The documentary almost makes me think there is an inexact "science" to divorce. That after filing, you wait until you see who your judge will be and then, no matter what, interview counsel based upon their history and relationship with the judge.
I know planning seems like the smart play but damn, if you go with who a friend thinks is cutthroat and it backfires, you're toast.

That last guy getting 5 years in jail for a blog post, holy shite.

What about the judge whose wife is the one who received the complaint against him? The guy who made the complaint got convicted of intimidating a judge and his family.
Or the Family Court Judge with the child abuse video who is STILL a Family Court Judge with absolutely no action taken against him?

I don't like to share much personal info about me but on I will I guess... and it's God honest.
When I went through my divorce, we too wrote our own visitation. Agreed to so much logic. So much good, for us and our young child.
Our divorce finalized in October of a certain year and the first Easter came calling. It was the wife's day so I made arrangements to come by, see child in her dress etc and provide her a Daddy's basket. Showed up, no one home. Called. No answer. Hours tick by, no word. Monday comes. Same thing. I'm really scared now, this isn't normal. I finally go by the house at 9:00ish PM, Monday night. I can't tell if anyone is home. I'm banging on the door and calling nonstop from the porch, scared out of my mind something is wrong. No answer. Cops show. Huh? She's inside "scared"...
LSS, the police get her to the door but I can't see my child. She's "fine" they verify for me. The next day she files a protection order that still remains in effect today because she wrote and I fricking quote "I was afraid to open the door as my ex-husband was sitting outside our home, on the curb, in the rain incessantly beating on my door and terrorizing us. I am afraid this behavior will continue and cannot feel safe with him anywhere near our home for the safety of myself and ___".
Judge rubber stamped it without any rebuttal in court. Literally told me not to say another word or else. That this behavior cannot be tolerated and I need to think about the long-term affects of such deplorable behavior.
500 feet from address. Still stands today. I pick my child up in a church parking lot.
holy jesus god. i would kill the count
reading shite like this just affirms my anti-marriage stance. women are frickin nuts
if there's a 5% chance that i ever do get married, she's signing a prenup

I had my kids ripped away from me. My ex played the system although she really didn't need to. Her mom and the judge had been next door neighbors for years. The outright lies that were told to this day enrages me.

even then you're not safe.
A family member won millions when she told the judge she felt pressured into signing the prenup. She told the court she didn't want to but agreed to it and it was all on his terms not hers. Prenup was nullified (or whatever, I'm not a lawyer) and now she's a millionaire without working 1 day in her life. Was married for 4 or 5 years and cheated on her husband multiple times.
She also gave the shittiest gifts at my birthday parties.

I will not get married and will always maintain my own residence and bank account (when I'm in a relationship). Of course, I'm neither bat shite crazy nor hot enough to get away with being bat shite crazy.
