Top 5 on offense, and no defense sounds like a trip to the lottery

Wow you couldn't be more wrong, find me that last time a top 5 offense missed the playoffs irregardless of defense a top 5 offense is playoff bound at a minimum. Don't fall into the trap of weighting offense and defense evenly offense is much more valuable.
