so you are saying "No Points are influenced by pace"?
If so I agree points are influenced by how many times the ball goes in the basket. Maybe by the other teams defense as well.

Here's a quick article come on bro you should know better.
If Fast-Break Team and Slow-Pace Team each played an opponent that scored two-thirds of the time it got the ball, Slow-Pace Team (who scores every time down the court) would beat the opponent, and Fast-Break Team (who only scores half the time it gets the ball) would lose -- even though Fast-Break Team would score more total points against the opponent than Slow-Pace Team would. So would you really call Fast-Break Team, which scores only half the time, a "better" offensive team than Slow-Pace Team, which plays more slowly but which scores every single time down the court?
Most basketball people would agree that a better offense is one that scores the most points each time down the floor, regardless of the game's pace. To account for differences in the speed with which different teams play, Celtics coaches judge an offense's effectiveness by the "points per possession" ("PPP") stat, rather than just looking at the number of points a team scores per game. PPP measures how many points a team scores, on average, between the time it gets the ball and the time the other team gets the ball back.

Hey now no throwing in facts to support your argument, that is my thing.
I get the pace thing and in the NBA offense will get you to the playoffs.
But most slow pace team are really good at defense and purposely play a slower game to limit the other teams offense.
So that goes back to you have to have a good defense to win championships

It isn't debated because only a retard believes it. Feel free to prove how 119 points against has less value than 118 points for.

Offense can get you to the playoffs but defense is what will keep you going once you get there.

Cleveland is the first team since 2005 to have a defensive rating ranked 10 or below and win a championship.
And arguably the Cavs were the superior defenders that series and that made the difference.
Offense will only get you so far Boom. It's gonna be a tough bridge to cross come playoff time when refs are swallowing whistles and letting defenses play more physical against a team that relies heavily on getting to the free throw line and now with more finesse players in key roles.

I'm talking more general terms not specific to CC. There's a bigger gap between the best and worst offensive players on the court than there is between the best and worst defensive players.
Curry v Asik on offense
v
Draymond v Ryno

Draymond v Ryno

1. That argument is as stupid as I would expect from you.
2. What about the difference between good defense and terrible defense? Because Houston will be terrible defensively with Anerson, Goron, and Haren.

Offense > defense.
Look bro if CC doesn't finish 9 or more games ahead of the Pels next season my days posting on Pels talk are done.

And what objective means are you using to make this argument?

Noted. That doesn't mean a hiatus. Done means you leave and never come back.

He also said he would quit TD if the Pels ever advanced further than the Rockets in the playoffs. I bookmarked it.

Just some future advice boom... The word "irregardless" is mainly used by morons.

Give this a go, It may be above your head though.
Offense definitely wins you games but without great to elite defense you aren't going to be much more then a regular playoff exiting team that hangs their hat on a pretty regular season W/L record.
I know you are excited for your team but to me Morey basically just signed the funeral card for your all's playoff death for the next few seasons. A coach that has never produced a great defense and you have tied up roughly 47 million dollars, or half the cap, in guys that can't or don't play defense.
And if Gordon and Ryno don't have career years....It could be a pretty ugly situation.

Coach D always had middle of the pack defenses on a points per possession basis in his PHX days. good enough to win 60 games.
Posted on 7/11/16 at 5:25 pm to Boomshockalocka
Lol, "Coach D". Sounds like you know the guy and he was your actual coach at one point in your life.

I didn't get why the W's used a pick on Biyombo but he seems to have done work. It took years. I am impressed with posters showing long term patience on Diallo.
