They would have been fine with a trade to NY, Milwaukee, and a few other places. Legitimately, as I can tell you they were talking to some other teams trying to convince them to offer big packages to get him out. So, how does that fit with your "Doing it for Lebron" theory? Rich Paul was on the phon...
They took their shot, probably overvaluing the Lakers assets, and missed. I mean, even the smartest in the media thought the Lakers "all in" package couldn't be trumped. That it was better to take it than risk the distraction that came with AD playing out the rest of the season, etc Look, I w...
And what do you know about them other than the takes you have heard from witty Twitter people? I know, for instance, Griffin really respects Rich Paul. Not just when he speaks in public, but behind the scenes. I know Rich Paul has done some things for clients that has actually gone against what ...

Bad franchise make the playoffs all the time. Get lucky every once in a while because the players overcome the front office. I think of the Arizona Cardinals that one magical year with Warner, for instance. But only good franchises have sustainability. The foundation of this franchise was garbag...
I don't get the connection between your first paragraph and 2nd Basically, in your first you acknowledge how bad the organization used to be and how great it is now. And then in the second, paint Klutch as this villain with no logic They wanted to get him out of here BECAUSE the organization w...

It's Gayle. Every POBO in the world would want an amazing staff. Gayle realized after she calmed down from The Jump dunking on us that it is necessary. I give her all the credit for looking in the mirror and saying, "Why aren't we giving this franchise the attention and resources we give the Sain...
Man, you just getting greedy now. That said, there are still some analytics and scouting department hires coming. Griffin is building a top notch staff that will compete with any in the league I would say they were in the 23-26 range the last 5 years or so and will easily be top 6 moving forwa...

It is a lot like the D Rob situation and the LeBron leaving Cleveland first time situation. Without either of those things happening, which bummed the fan base out a lot at the time, a title would have never been possible...

I honestly couldn't care less about swaying you guys. I am here to provide insight and balance to the conversation. I don't expect 98% of people to be open minded enough to live in the gray. But for those that are, I give them some more nuanced things to consider. ...

Is Pascal Siakam's career being hurt by all this will Kawhi or won't he stuff? Again, you guys are assuming there will be drama and a bad, manipulative Klutch, an uninterested AD with one foot out the door, etc You guys don't give even the smallest bit of consideration to an AD situation that...

I think AD can make decisions for himself. But if all the people in your life, including the most important ones, tell you that you need to get out of something, it is hard not to listen. But I keep coming back to Rich Paul, AD, and his inner circle being soured on Demps and the Pels ownerships ...

I don't think its that cut and dry. Unfortunately, at fans, we will only see the major results coming out of that meeting. Either he will sign the contract or opt in or nothing. But I think a lot of sincere words and promises can be said in that meeting that could make me feel comfortable going ...

In the last 35 years, only two franchises have gotten the #1 pick a won a title with that guy. And in both situations, they had another #1 pick who was taken years before and was in his prime, but some weird shite happened Spurs - Robinson and Duncan Cavs - LBJ and Kyrie You need a lot of...
I like the idea of Patrick Beverly a lot. Darren Collison if he comes cheap. Satoransky would be a nice 20-25mpg guard who can push the pace and hit the 3. On the wing, I'd be curious if I could take Kyle Anderson off Memphis's hands if they are looking to dump some money. I also might take a fl...

It's true though. Marc Gasol is overpaid. So is Serge Ibaka. Middleton will be starting next year. Regular season Iggy is vastly overpaid, Milsap is overpaid But those teams don't regret any of those deals. They regret Tony Snell and Norman Powell. Portland regrets Meyers Leonard, and on and on a...
