The log scene with Paul Newman and Richard Jaekel from Sometimes A Great Notion.

For those unfamiliar - movie with Paul Newman and Henry Fonda (also directed by Newman) based on a novel by Ken Kesey.

A fricking CSI episode of all things.

One of the guys is knocked out to wake up buried alive in a coffin with a pistol left in his hand a speaker in the casket so the guy pissed off can talk to him. When water starts dripping in the casket and fire ants get in there I'm done.

Just a fluff damned network TV show but it was intense.

The scene in the Shawshank Redemption where Andy Dufresne escapes. I feel so badly for Warden Norton who was only trying to do his job.

Some good ones mentioned here. I'll add a couple from Forrest Gump. First, when Bubba dies in Vietnam. Second, when Forrest is talking at Jenny's grave.

They deserved it (and much worse).

I cheered at the movie theater when I saw this the first time.

Good list.

Here's another that bothers me- the ending of Se7en, "what's in the box?". I wasn't ready for that.

Not necessarily the hardest scene but definitely creepy scene. Running Scared when Paul Walkers wife finds her kidnapped son and his friend and the creepy parents house. The parents dress kids up and film them, then cut them up and put them under the floor.
