re: Ray Donovan: Yay or Nay? (No spoilers please) - Sayre
The first season is solid but not dynamite. About halfway through the second season, when the people are killed in the SUV, it really becomes a great show. Third season was amazing. It really became one of the best shows on TV. Jon Voight steals ever scene he's in. ...

re: Ate at Fleur de Lis this afternoon - Sayre
My grandparents moved onto Esplanade, just around the corner, in the early 40s. Grandpa used to gamble on the pinball machines when the mob ran the motel as a gambling establishment/whorehouse in the 40s and 50s. I grew up in the 70s and 80 passing by Fleur de Lis all the time, and ate there quite ...

Ate at Fleur de Lis this afternoon - Sayre
Got a small, pepperoni, Italian sausage, Canadian bacon, salami. Disgusting. Horrible. Nasty. Etc, etc. Not a single redeeming quality. I got better pizza in my high school cafeteria. They must have paid a bunch of crack heads to vote for those 225 awards....

re: Preacher on AMC this sunday (5/22) - Sayre
Yeah, it's not bad at all, when you look at it as a completely different story than the books and just view it as on it's own merits as something new. ...

re: Valedictorian barred from graduation to get own ceremony - Sayre
The school vice-principal wasn't going to let me walk across the stage at my graduation back in 1989 because I wore high top Reeboks underneath my gown. I'd brought dress shoes in anticipation of such bullshite, so I got to walk. ...

re: Dice on ShowTime - Sayre
Watched the first episode and was greatly underwhelmed. The only funny part was the last bit at the wedding. Watched the first ten or so minutes of the second episode and just could not take anymore and deleted it from my DVR. ...

re: Preacher on AMC this sunday (5/22) - Sayre
ZappBrannigan

I had hopes with reservations for the show. Finally got a chance to sit down and watch. I made it to the helicopter sequence with Tulip and just turned it off. Race changing her threw some interesting bones to another story line down the way. Making her an insa...

re: Preacher on AMC this sunday (5/22) - Sayre
**SPOILER** No, the thing from space is Genesis, the offspring of the mating of a demon and an angel. The reason the other preachers exploded was because they were too far on the good side. Jessie could absorb the being because he has a lot of bad in him to offset the good....
This show has no connection to the books besides some names.

Well that's not even remotely true, but okay
Not even remotely true? You gotta be kidding me. Should I break out the books and start listing all the ways the plot from the TV show differs from them?...

re: Preacher on AMC this sunday (5/22) - Sayre
For you guys that have read the comics, if I start reading the comics now will it ruin the show?
Not at all. They're completely different in every way that matters. The books are infinitely funnier, profane, and blasphemous. Tulip is a big tittied blond chick, and Cassidy is a d...
was front row rail center at this show. I waited all day from 10am to be there and had to tell some fat Bush fan chick she could not have my spot (they went on before TOOL) I was litereally getting CRUSHED during tool. When they went on stage everyone just PUSHED towards the front. I had bru...
