that the offense has improved, if only slightly
like i said, it was hard not to improve from 112th. we are still 100+ though. so lets just say slighlty improved still bad.. so if they finish this year at 100 and next year finish at 95.. but hey we're improving...

doesn't preclude the fact that miles might make a change after this season.
he probably will, but he should have done it last year...

lsu has still had two respectable seasons and appears to be trending upward post '08
respectable.... ok.. we'll see where this year ends up..

Questionable in-game coaching

I would add to this the fact that he seldom, if ever, makes adjustments at halftime.

why can't people say that the end result is what ultimately matters? miles is winning a ton of games in the toughest conference. his record at lsu is among the very best 5 year spans in the sec in the last 3 decades.

if miles sucked so bad, why does he continue to win? he's had plenty of chances to pull a "curley".

This is why I discredit all the miles supporters. A simple question was asked to tell me how the great coaching(over 5mil whole staff) comes through on the field and you cannot answer the question. Yall use the same tired rhetoric over and over.

He won the West twice in the last 5 years. That means he has 3 years of slack. It is an average dumbass. Same with the SEC Championships. Most fans would agree those numbers are attainable under Miles. If you think an LSU coach should do better, that is fine. However the numbers are reasonable.

The fact that Miles is a family man is completely unrelated to his abilities as a college football coach.

Not true. If you don't have a guy who the players can easily talk to then issues that some of the players may have may never get paid attention to.

it has been answered and i'll answer again. name the sec coaches over the last 3 decades who have had a better 5 year run (any 5 years) than miles.

I have not seen it answered. And watch out Saban will take over that soon. The reason yall don't answer the question is you know the "coaching" is sub par and it shows in performance. They are 7-1 and I have never disputed that but they show the same performance over the next 4 games and they could finish 8-4..is that not a possibility based on the team you have seen play this year?

it has been answered but negatigers don't like the answer - wins. alot of them in the nfl d league no less.

except for the winning?

you're right. if lsu does indeed start to flounder, then criticism of miles will be warranted. but, as long as he continues to rack up 9+ win seasons in the toughest conference, that's VERY respectable. this isn't the big 12 north (solich). very, very few sec coaches have been able to sustain that sort of success over the last 3 decades.

do you not understand that our concerns are all about the winning continuing? Has LSU played well or to their ability? I don't think they have as alot of others feel also. If they continue to play this way it is very unlikely they win more than 2 of the 4 games

who isn't concerned about that? but the issue is the degree of concern. the chicken little attitude from the "concerned" prevents tiger fans from enjoying the insanity that is college football and creates some unfair criticisms of miles.

fans have been "concerned" since miles took over. at what point does the chicken little attitude become psychopathic? how many wins per season does miles have to accomplish for people to be fair with him?

Totally irrelevant to the Miles supporters/Results only crowd. These are the kind of people who have no problem with how the Tennessee game ended, because we won.

It's like watching an idiot play blackjack. He hits on a hard 17 and gets a 4. The Results only crowd would tell you it must have been the right thing to do, since it came up 21.
