re: David Duke on O'Reilly - LJBurton
Terrible segment. Total waste of time. Seemed a bit of an F U to Scalise for turning them down. It certainly didn't do Scalise any favors. ...

re: Has the clock officially started ticking on CLM - LJBurton
Next year appears to be make or break. Chavis not wanting to be tied to Miles would lead me to believe that the clock is definitely ticking. Looks like Alleva is on a two year plan, which will likely be at least one year too late....

re: How would Miles do in the NFL? - LJBurton
Les Miles wins on talent. He would not succeed when coaching where the parity is so high.
While this thread is obviously 100% about speculation and opinion. This is the most correct answer IMO. Miles has succeeded at LSU in large part because the teams he has fielded have had a ...

re: Rank the Current College Football Coaches: - LJBurton
Miles should be nowhere near the top of any best coaches list. I have him at #6 in the SEC West. ...

re: What did LSU fans think about Miles back on 2 January 2005? - LJBurton
I knew very little about him, so I had no opinion. After watching the first few games, I was VERY concerned. I mean ..... Who tries to stop an already stopped clock? ...

re: What did Michigan do wrong with Rich Rod? - LJBurton
50% no support, 50% not enough time given due to that lack of support. State of the program was so bad that the next guy was going to need a few years to get the right talent and depth back to where it needed to be. Rich Rod is a proven winner and has had success everywhere he has been absent Mich...
Won't be popular, but Tubbs is a decent coach. He's too old to hire at this point, though. I said Bobby P a few months ago and was practically run off the board.
I think both Tubberville and Petrino would absolutely crush it at LSU, and I am quite convinced that either guy would ta...

re: If you're Alleva, you have to be working scenarios if Miles leaves... - LJBurton
Any AD worth his salt should always have a line or two in the water. You always need a short list of guys who you KNOW would take the job if the timing was right. That said, I have no confidence that Alleva is worth his salt....

re: Miles' broken offensive philosophy solved - LJBurton
Your questions restate my position......maybe Rettig was a pain in the ass, punk, etc. Who knows, but there are reasons for the way a major college program develops that are not apparent to the untrained eye. We, as fans, are primarily based in absolutes of why things should/should not happen...

re: Miles' broken offensive philosophy solved - LJBurton
Miles' broken offensive philosophy solved A capable QB who is a fit (i.e. pro style)
So, why doesn't he recruit some pro-style QB's? And, furthermore, why does he run a 4 Star Pro Style QB out of the program? Was Rettig not a fit?...

Never considered him top 5 in the SEC West, much less the Nation. We have won in spite of Miles, not because of him. ...

re: Amendment 13 on La Ballot - LJBurton
No to all but 10. No is my default on all Amendments just as it is on Tax Increases and Renewals. Government needs to be choked out. Enough new laws, enough amendments, enough with taking more and more of our money. ...

re: Tired political cliches you would rather never hear again - LJBurton
War on ........, ......... Gate, "Fair Share", Targeted Investments, Stimulus, Private Sector Velocity I find that every one of these terms/slogans have been effectively co opted by the Left and the Media Left and now mean the exact opposite of their actual definitions. ...
I'm wonder if the excuse (to cover their lie), "it's insurance companies' fault" is working?
The ACA was written with significant input from the Insurance Industry. One might even go so far to say that the Insurance Industry in essence wrote the entire bill. Now, once enacted, th...

re: Landrieu to propose halting vanishing health plans - LJBurton
Do the right thing LA and get this clown out of office. This is the same play she runs every time. Pivot to the right prior to reelection time, get reelected, get back in line with the Progressive agenda. Most of Louisiana is too stupid to know any better. Enough is enough. She needs to go....
