Who is a "great" recruiter then?
You can't say Saban, because I just showed you that Miles is significantly better than Saban was at LSU.
When you "showed" miles was a better recruiter than Saban did you factor in all the variables?
1. Saban came into a program that was losing and had to turn it around as well as the perceptions of recruits coming to LSU. When Miles took over was the LSU much more respected than when Saban did?
2. Wouldn't it take Saban at least 2 or 3 classes to change the losing perception LSU had amongst recruits?
3. Saban BUILT and IMPROVED facilities while he was here and that took 2-4 years to do so.....Miles has not made any improvements to facilities but gets to recruit with the luxury of what Saban helped to build.
4. Where are the great o-lineman and just SERVICEABLE qb's in miles great recruiting resume? I would rather one 5 star qb than 3 5 star wr's and you can sign all the 5 star rb's you want but if they don't have an o-line it doesn't matter.
Bottomline is Miles wasn't a great recruiter at Ok. St. but came to LSU and became a top recruiter so logically LSU could go get a guy at a lower tiered school who brings in recruiting classes that rank b/w 28-40 in the nation and they too will likely become great recruiters.
LSU is recruiting itself more than the headcoach!

Your analysis is horribly flawed.
For example, if you cite "player loyalty" in both pros and cons, it is really a very big con, because the team is not unified.
Another example has to do with recruiting. The metric of Top Five classes ignores the massive failures at recruiting QBs. One good QB recruit is easily worth ten skill recruits. I'd trade away 4 and 5 star skill recruits all day long to get 5 star QB recruits.
Where does supervision of the coaching staff come up? Les appears to not supervise them worth squat, otherwise why do they do the same stupid shite game-after-game?
Fundamentally Les is a FAIL because he is inconsistent at every phase of the coaching game (look at how many times you have the same entry into pros and cons).

Most of it is not my analysis, but rather the pros and cons that this board comes up with daily.

Make up your mind. Did he recruit bad QBs or is he terrible at developing them. It can only be one of the other. I believe that Perrilloux (sp?) kid was a 5 star. Lee attended the Elite 11.

Fundamentally, a person with as much expertise as most on these boards should be able to point out Miles faults AND have a solution. Not some wild arse c-hair solution. I am talking about a proven solution that will meet the insanely-high expectations of LSU more often than Miles does.
I see so many people bitch about two sides of the same coin. They bitch about losses before AND after they happen. Before a game they talk about how we will probably lose, then after the game they talk about how much we should have destroyed the opponent. They bitch about Miles not developing talent without giving him the credit for getting that talent to LSU.
Some think that LSU would get Top 10 classes without a coach. They think high school kids around the country are LSU fans and would ALL jump a the opportunity to attend this school. They are so self-righteous regarding LSU and naive about the state of college football that they do not understand the dynamics involved with being a head coach at arguably one of the top 5-10 programs in the country right now. ALOT of money and jobs revolve around the success of Les Miles, and if he was truly such a cancer, why would the AD, TAF, and LSU go down with his ship?

Thanks. I thought for sure I edited that out after I re-read the OP, but I guess not.
